Literature Text

Not enough sorrow
for the one who holds it

Not enough grief for the one
whose tears fall wholly

but enough time
for the ones who can turn away

touch my hand;
tell me i'm lovely

sing of kind peace;
don't rip my heart heart out

don't drink the blood,
growing giddy from my shame

don't forget to love;
don't abuse my name

touch my hand;
tell me i'm lovely

tell me to get ready
for the best days to come

let me smile and laugh;
don't exasperate me to death

i will reach out and seek acorns;
anything to fight for good life

i will hug myself
until the pain subsides

and then you...even you...
won't leave any more footprints
this is about finding the inner strength to heal and also to defend yourself maturely. i do not discount God in the process as he will provide the acorns within my grasp...and he holds my tears that do not fall. they are locked away, but he watches over them, counting them, saving them. one day they will be set free. until then i must learn to use my voice. you can do it too by expelling the need for revenge which is such a common disgraceful selfish act. heal yourself and let the others go and you will flourish if you are serious about it.
