slapped down
cry aloud
can't back down
not even proud...
looking down
not a sound
earth falls down
all around
up, not down.
no fake crown,
honesty frowns
upside down
groaning loud
twisted 'round,
losing ground
barking hounds
unspoken nouns,
melodic rounds...
forgotten sounds
merry-go rounds
thorns that drown...
shadows pound
to let me out

people who are unruly are misunderstood, mocked and dismissed. often they are neglected and separated from those who actually understand. This poem is dedicated to Mya - a great girl with a rough start in life.
