changing winds

the wind blew hard
as I dug into the ground,
dirt flew at my face
no matter how I turned;
I tried to make it work

east and west,
the work never ceased.
east to west,
I tried to help my eyes to see
whichever the way it was

a calm new dream
that was windless and still
while I prepare to leave,
missing my own harvest...
I let it go anyway

east to west
a new full leaf
of the brightest green ever,
crowds of new buds rose up
and swelled with promising fruit

my eyes feasted on the sight
and i knew good things were in store.
the flowers were not proud
or haughty, looking down...
they simply said "see what I can do?"

i took it as a sign;
I really could touch the sky
and my feet would never leave the ground.
I could live my calling
and still be as peaceful as that warm day

what if I stayed where the sun shone?
what if everything went really well?
what's the hurry to leave?
east to west...
I search for the test

This is about two different dreams i had recently: one where i was gardening (i have worked in 7 or 8 gardens this summer; great fun and hard work) and there was a great wind blowing, turning east and then west and as i dug with the shovel, i turned and tried to make it so that the wind would not blow dirt in my face as i emptied the spayed. the second dream was last night and it was that my garden was swelling and producing squash and zucchini (which i love) in abundance...while my garden is flowering quite a lot in life, no fruit is developing yet (that i see) so...here's hoping! I think the first dream meant change and it represents my being tossed about a decision to make very soon. no matter which way i go it requires hard work, i just don't know which is the best way to go. the second dream i think meant prosperity...??? i love squash and zucchini, so if my garden produces it, i'd be quite happy!! lastly....

Honestly...seeing some of your comments on here is so encouraging; you guys are very sweet and I appreciate the loyal support each of you has given! I'm uploading references for a manga that I hope to draw out soon and then I promise to have some very nice artistic stuff!! I'll throw bits and pieces in to mix it all up with the travel/reference pics. pics from Hungary and Italy coming as soon as ireland is done; beautiful scapes from ireland ahead, too! I'm glad you guys like my art and enjoy the travel pics, too; it's crazy the things a person can do if they work hard and believe and relax and have fun!   once i get my feet on the ground, i do hope to be around on here some more (beyond just posting once a month)...but i must say that i like a lot of the art that you guys have on here!! what creativity! it's fun and inspiring. keep it up, you guys!!
